Postpartum Care and Follow-up
May 11, 2022Normal birth is the healthiest form of birth due to the woman's natural body structure. If there is no physical necessity, normal delivery should be preferred in every situation where the mother and baby will not be harmed.
Normal birth is one of the most important functions of the female body and is the most basic feature that makes it different from men. The female body is designed to create, nurture, give birth and raise a baby in the womb. Normal birth is therefore the most healthy and natural method. Cesarean section is preferred in cases where normal delivery is not possible and the mother and baby may be harmed. Today, however, this method is overused for different reasons. The biggest difference between a normal birth and a cesarean section is that one is a natural procedure and the other is a medical procedure.
Is there a limit on the number of normal births and cesarean deliveries? The limit in normal birth is that the mother can give birth as much as she wants. There is no upper limit physically and psychologically. However, in a cesarean section, each procedure and repetition means the risk increases exponentially. Because each time the uterus will be cut in the same place. These processes may even cause loss of mother and baby if necessary precautions are not taken. For this reason, scientific societies do not recommend more than three cesarean sections.
How long does postpartum recovery take? Pregnancy is a very challenging process for all expectant mothers. It is a very demanding process and it is physically and psychologically tiring. This process ends with normal delivery. The mother can immediately hold her baby in her arms and attach to it. The uterus recovers quickly and mothers can walk home within hours
